This landmark oceanfront hotel has replaced Bianca with this Peruvian-influenced Argentine concept, serving three mails daily.
The main seating is now on the terrace with a new bar, and a wood-burning grill and tables have been added to the garden below in front of the pool. Hand-painted bicycles from Argentina present tableside preparations from boxes in front of the handlebars.
“With the wood-burning grill cooking meats practically tableside, guests can enjoy the food with all five senses,” says John Kolaski, of Disruptive Restaurant Group.
Breakfast includes French toast guava dulce de leche ($16) and eggs Benedict renditions ($16-$18). Lunch and dinner features four kinds of empanadas ($7-$8) and sushi rolls ($9-$25). Appetizers offer melted aged provolone ($24) and tuna pizza ($24) while entrees include sweetbreads ($18), short-rib ravioli ($19), corvina casserole ($24) and churrasco ($24, $45).
End with dulce de leche melted heart or beignets with rum caramel sauce (both $13).
Cocktails ($18) comprise South American flavors, such as the El Gaucho with rum and egg white and the Panamericana with vodka and passionfruit. Both feature yerba mate.
The interior dining room has been converted to a posh lounge, the Doheny Room.
