This open-air restaurant with a landscaped, wraparound terrace and a lively bar has begun serving weekend brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. after opening a year ago.
“We’re introducing the first stage. Keep an eye out for what's to come,” says owner George Pappas, who grew up on the Greek island of Crete. “We’ll be incorporating a themed brunch on Sundays, which will include entertainment.”
A couple of his favorites are the beef/lamb kefte patties with eggs and wedge fries ($12) and the Waffle BLTE with fresh herbs blended into the batter ($12).
“I also love that we incorporated a Greek-American fusion in the gyro omelet ($12),” he says. “Egg, gyro, onions and tomato work together so harmoniously.”
On the sweeter side, he recommends the berries-and-cream French toast ($10). “We use challah bread and finish it with a center of cream cheese and homemade berry jam, then drizzle it with syrup and top with fresh berries,” Pappas says. “Our Nutella waffle is technically not a dessert, but it pretty much classifies itself as one ($10).”
Bottomless blood-orange mimosas cost $13, and specialty cocktails prices are slashed to $6.
Plans call for adding brunch to the original location in Coconut Creek.
