You may have heard SouthFlorida.com's bringing Bravo's Andy Cohen to town. The host of Watch What Happens Live will take questions from locals, moderated by SouthFlorida.com's own Johnny Diaz.
Well, we know Cohen likes to knock 'em back, so I thought we'd guide him to our best drink-makers. These are some bars he should stop by:
Sweetwater Bar and Grill, 1507 S. Federal Highway, Boynton Beach
Head bartender Sean Iglehart mixes Pappy van Winkle bourbon like you would not believe. The atmosphere here is nice, too: long wooden tables and dim lighting around a well-stocked bar with shelves and shelves of botles.
The Broken Shaker, 2727 Indian Creek Drive, Miami Beach
Of course I'd include this one. Cocktail hounds were buzzing about this one months before it opened. Have Gabe Orta or Elad Zvi make you an old fashioned, Andy.
Living Room at the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale, 401 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale
Award-winning mixologist Ray Ramos was commissioned by Bombay Sapphire to make a cocktail with the gin. It's spectacular, but it takes some time to churn out.
Living Room at the W Hotel South Beach, 2201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
And bar manager at the W's Miami counterpart, Tom Hiller, perfected all the cocktails on the bar's new garden-to-glass menu. Try the Paloma Hermosa and then switch to Negronis.
