This venue from the Broadway strip of downtown Nashville is expected to bring its flair to the first level of the north end of this shopping complex at the end of this month.
"Tequila Cowboy Bar & Grill will offer an energetic blend of entertainment, dining and revved-up nightlife straight from Nashville," says Kenny Hamp, operations director at TC Restaurant Group. "There's a beautiful, intimate dining area, huge dance floor, realistic mechanical bull, state-of-the-art sound system, over 20 HD televisions, private rooms for parties or corporate events, and WannaB's Karaoke Bar. Yes, when you want to be a rock star, step on over to the adjacent room and brave the stage with over 300,000 song choices."
You won't be able to miss the 8-foot guitars, massive red wrought-iron lips, Americana murals and the 1950s Chevrolet delivery truck crowning the bar.
Signatures of the American fare with a Southern/Tex-Mex twist are chipotle BBQ meatballs ($8.25), chopped salad with lime dressing ($10.50) and prime rib ($23.25). If you eat all eight of the flaming killer wings ($10.25) in eight minutes or the 2-pound bull burger topped with pulled pork, bacon, corn salsa and Fritos ($29.95) in 20 minutes, they are free.
A seemingly endless list of libations encompasses wine, craft beers, specialty cocktails and shots, and a tequila bar. Bands from Nashville will play modern rock and country Thursdays through Sundays. A spacious covered patio will offer lounge and dining seating.
This enchanting Italian eye-pleaser in the iPic Theater in Mizner Park has lightened up its lunch menu by adding sandwiches and salads and reining back the pastas.
Five sandwiches have debuted under the new $10 Club section, including prosciutto di Parma, chicken salad and the caprese stacked high on ciabatta with thick-sliced tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. There's also an exclusive sandwich section with grilled mahi-mahi on rosemary focaccia ($13) and honey-mustard chicken with smoked Gouda and bacon on sourdough ($12).
Quinoa salad with almond-crusted goat cheese ($13) is a standout. "The light and healthy combinations of the ingredients truly make that dish pop," corporate executive chef Andre Lane says.
Other salad additions are shrimp and crab Cobb ($15), grilled portobello with beets ($13) and baby spinach and strawberries ($9).
If you crave something heavier, try the center-cut filet mignon with rosemary demi ($21) or the sausage pasta under the $10 roster.
Eight new cocktails include strawberry basil balsamic mojito ($12), pomegranate martini ($13) and Raz Berri liquid nitrogen ($18).
Save room for new desserts, chocolate molten soufflé ($10) and Luxardo cherry brownie sundae ($9). The sticky toffee pudding ($9) is a must.

More than a year after opening his cool-toned minimalist dining room, Ernest J. Pattie is fine-tuning his concept to meet his customers' desires.
"I went to more traditional because of the area. I want to get a different market in here. I'm back in the kitchen," says Pattie, who lost his executive chef to a health issue. "Most of the recipes are mine anyway, and I'm creating new stuff."
