This international chain of Belgian bakeries and restaurants, founded in Brussels in 1990, has introduced its first Florida outpost, to be followed this spring by a location in Aventura Mall’s new wing.

"We’re proud to bring our classic menu of organic breads, artisanal pastries, tartines and salads to Miami, but we’re equally excited to introduce some new, innovative dishes in our new locations, especially for dinner,” CEO Vincent Herbert says.

Those include chicken ratatouille ($18) and roasted wild salmon with smashed avocado, spicy aioli and corn salsa ($19).

The tartines are open-faced sandwiches on organic, whole-wheat sourdough bread, such as grilled chicken and mozzarella melt ($14.50). Breakfast offers Key lime chia parfait ($7.95) and dragon-fruit smoothie bowl ($9.95).

An ample list of desserts features a variety of tarts ($4.50-$6.50), such as mixed berry or apricot.

“While all of our restaurants uphold certain traditional design elements, like reclaimed wood millwork, plaster walls and our communal table, each Le Pain Quotidien reflects the uniqueness of its neighborhood,” Herbert says. “For example, our Aventura location will feature elements of the sea, and our Coconut Grove location has subtle hints of coconut texture in some of the artwork."

Three meals a day are served.
