This down-home local chain, founded in Boca Raton in 1996, has opened a second Boynton Beach location — the chain’s fourth — in the former Melt Crafted Grilled Cheese in the Renaissance Commons complex.
“We decided to open in east Boynton based on customer feedback, combined with our desire to experiment with a smaller prototype store,” owner Craig Larson says. “A reduced footprint would allow us to have more flexibility in the future when dealing with developers on available spaces. Boynton is a great fit for our business because of the demographic — young families all the way up to retirees with disposable income.”
Signatures include rotisserie half chicken ($14.99), pulled pork platter ($14.99), baby back ribs or St. Louis ribs ($15.99, half rack; $22.99, full rack) and chopped beef brisket platter ($17.99). Build-your-own s'mores are presented on a mini grill ($7.99).
Lunch and dinner are served daily amid a décor saluting classic Americana with red walls, reclaimed wood, a yellow-tiled open kitchen, an American flag mural by sought-after artist Ruben Ubiera and a covered patio.
“We are negotiating leases in Jupiter and Coral Springs, as well as entertaining opportunities in New York, New Jersey and New England,” Larson says.
