Drinking events during MLK weekend

Take advantage of the long weekend by going to these boozy mass gatherings, listed here from least- to most-expensive.

The Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop's first ride of the year is Saturday, Jan. 19. The drinkalong buses take off from Yolo and the Office Pub, and take patrons to nine venues including Copacabana, American Social and Tarpon Bend. With one free drink and food item at each venue, you're sure to be loud and stuffed at the end of the ride. Designated drivers will wear wristbands for easy identification, and driver services are available for reserve on the Loop's website.
$30, 5:30-9 p.m., BusLoop.org.

The Miami Beer Festival is the first of its kind, taking place Saturday at the Marlins Stadium. Lots of local homebrewers will be sampling their suds alongside big-name craft breweries. There will be food trucks on site to keep you level-headed. If you plan to go, make sure to buy tickets online, because none will be sold at the door.
$43.19-$53.74, 6-10 p.m., MiamiBeerFestival.com.

JA World Uncorked is the Junior Achievement League's food and wine festival, but they like to call it "a fork and cork affair." The list of spirits and beers available is exhausting to read, meaning everyone in group will find something they enjoy. The event will take place Saturday at Broward College's Huizenga Center, 1130 Coconut Creek Blvd., to benefit the Circle of Wise Women for education. Timpano Italian Chophouse is the main culinary partner, so get ready to beef up.
$150, 6:30 p.m., JAWorldUncorked.com.
