Miami Spice preview dinner Wednesday in Bal Harbour

The 13th annual Miami Spice, when Miami-Dade restaurants go on sale for two months, doesn’t start until August.

But this year, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched a series of Miami Spice Mash-Ups, where two chefs will work together to create one meal featuring dishes from their respective upcoming Spice menus.      

The first one is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday when chef Brad Kilgore of J & G Grill in Bal Harbour hosts chef Jose Mendin of the Pubbelly restaurants.

Together, the two will create at six course meal for $65 per person.
