Michy’s, the award winning restaurant owned by chef Michelle Bernstein and husband David Martinez, will close in June. It will be renovated and reopen as an entirely new restaurant, according to a press release.
“We were open for eight glorious years,” said Bernstein in a press release. “We invite all of our friends and patrons to come celebrate with us, not the ending of a great restaurant but the beginning of a new venture, a new start.”
Until June 28, when the restaurant is set to close, Michy’s will continue to offer Fried Chicken Wednesdays, a $39 per person all-you-can-eat fried chicken and fixin’s meals that includes fresh pie a la mode. Starting May 29, Chef Michelle Cooks will feature Bernstein cooking “off the cuff.” She’ll prepare seasonally inspired dishes and customer favorites from the past eight years.
