Burt Rapoport's Palm Beach County chefs to cook at James Beard House

Congratulations to four chefs at Burt Rapoport’s Palm Beach County restaurants. They've been invited to cook at the legendary James Beard House in New York City on May 22.

They’ll be preparing a multi-course tasting menu with a Fresh From Florida theme that incorporates ingredients from the Sunshine State.

The four are Jon Greening, executive chef, Deck 84, Delray Beach; Jay Prisco, executive chef, Bogart’s Bar & Grille, Boca Raton; Ben Burger, executive chef, Henry’s, Delray Beach; and David Innes, Rapoport’s Restaurant Group pastry chef.

“This is a tremendous honor for Rapoport’s Restaurant Group and will surely be a career milestone for our team,” Rapoport said in a press release. “We are especially excited to bring authentic Florida flavor to this legendary New York venue.”

Several times each year, the Beard House invites chefs from around the world to prepare a dinner that features a signature cuisine or theme. This is Burt Rapoport’s second dinner. His first was in 1997, when he was a partner at Unique Restaurant Concepts.

May’s dinner menu will include Tuna sashimi tacos, Compressed Florida watermelon, Snapper ceviche and a Florida citrus mousse trio.
