This international chain, founded in New York City in 1995, has unveiled its first Florida outpost on the second floor of Aventura Mall’s new wing.
“We have this incredible 65-foot-long outdoor pergola with a picturesque living plant wall,” co-owner Michael Baccaro says. “We created an outdoor space to cater to the great weather. It gives our guests a sense of privacy while providing a beautiful backdrop.”
The patio also boasts a retractable canopy and string lights. An indoor/outdoor bar bridges to the interior with gray marble walls punctuated by modern art for sale, a starlit infinity hallway and modern yellow and blue accents, such as neon angel wings.
Traditional Italian highlights include meatballs with ricotta ($11), Tartufo Nero Pizza with robiola cheese, fontina, truffle cheese, truffle oil and black truffles ($29); a filet mignon burger with Gorgonzola and caramelized onions ($20); Veuve Clicquot risotto with black truffles ($27); and filet of bass al pinot grigio wrapped in thin-sliced potatoes on a bed of zucchini and leeks ($34).
“We will add a few local dishes and weekly specials that use local ingredients,” Baccaro says.
The Vittorio Tea cocktail blends tequila, lime and grapefruit sherbet ($14).
Lunch and dinner are served daily. Musicians entertain monthly.
