No one should go a day of Oktoberfest without a beer in hand. The Bavarian fest officially started in Munich on Sept. 22 and around South Florida this past Wednesday. The Biergarten in Boca will host its version of the party next Friday, Oct. 5, but until then, the happy hour specials are a suitable substitute. Weekdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and again from 10 p.m. to close, the Biergarten serves $4 pints, $6 select wines by the glass and $5 specialty cocktails. Some of those fruity drinks are the BlueGarten, with Van Gogh blueberry-acai vodka and St. Germain, and the Drunken Superfruit, with mixed-berry flavors. Every week of October, the bar will feature a different beer by the six official breweries of the Munich Oktoberfest.
Happy hour: 4-7 p.m. and 10-close daily
Recommended drink: Drunken Superfruit, with Svedka raspberry, fresh lime juice, blackberry puree and Sprite
Location: Biergarten Boca Raton, 309 Via De Palmas No. 90, Boca Raton, 561-395-7462, BiergartenBoca.com
