Ticket alert: Rush to the BB&T April 26

I haven't caught the Holy Trinity since their Time Machine Tour in 2010, when they closed out a show at the Cruzan Amphitheatre with a clip of Paul Rudd and Jason Segel star-struck by the band in a green room, riffing on the actors' "I Love You, Man" roles.

On April 26, Rush returns to South Florida, this time playing the BB&T Center -- a little disappointing for this outdoor-show lover -- and tickets will go on sale locally Monday, Jan. 28. They will be available at this link.

The Canadian prog-rockers' Facebook page announced Tuesday morning that last year's Clockwork Angels Tour will continue this spring. Less than an hour later, the band's website, Rush.com, timed out due to an overload of visits because there is no f---ing drummer better than Neil Peart.

Peart, bassist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame eight days before their tour's South Florida date. After almost 40 years of epic albums and radio hits, Rush received the award with help from their legion of fans: 2012 was the first year fans were able to vote for nominees.
