Adora Wisdom has begun serving breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Sunday at her 3-year-old taqueria, now that her business survived two years of road construction.

“There are a lot of Italian places in the area where you can get pastries, but no eggs options, so we had a lot of requests,” says Wisdom, who developed her taco passion from living in Mexico. “With the construction on A1A, I almost had to close my doors in 2016, and we only started to see changes in late 2017.”

Her favorite breakfast dishes are scrambled huevos a la Mexicana with tomatoes and cilantro ($10), the Taco Grill Breakfast with refried beans and two fried eggs topped with salsa and queso fresco ($8) and the all-day breakfast burrito ($8).

“Burritos are not Mexican. This is a Tex-Mex Item, but I am from Texas and I love them,” Wisdom says.

Beyond breakfast, popular specials are remaining on her chalkboard menu, such as tacos and burritos with octopus ($16-$18).

“Avocado lovers love the fried avocado burrito [$12.95], but for a vegetarian, it is a gift from God,” Wisdom says. “It makes you feel like you are eating meat. On my last pregnancy, this was my go-to.”
