World of Beer Coconut Creek will celebrate its third anniversary Saturday with a carnival block party. If you have purchased three Magic Hat drafts since June 17, bring the promotional stein you received to the block party to get $10 refills all night. Toro Toro is readying for Miami Spice by hosting in-house cocktail competitions starting July 14. Diners receive samples of each bartender's cocktail submission through the week, and their votes are tallied every Sunday. The Palm Beach Summer Beer Fest will take over the Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 20. Tickets to the indoor festival cost $35 in advance, $40 at the door and $75 for VIP. That includes the invaluable lounge area and food servers, plus additional beer samples. Everyone else will chug from a selection of 150, including Innis and Gunn, Oskar Blues, Ommegang and most of South Florida's local brews. Tickets are on sale at

American Social will host a Jameson pairing dinner on Tuesday, July 23, which is welcome alternative to the more-ubiquituous beer dinners. For $60 excluding tax and tip, dine on lobster appetizers, foie gras and smoked scallops, lamb chops and a jalapeno-bacon dessert.
