Here are some of my picks for where to drink for the next two weeks. Events will be updated as details become available.

BROWARD

Game of Thrones Ommegang night: On April 10, the Riverside Market will toast the release of Brewery Ommegang's Iron Throne blonde ale, brewed for the premiere of HBO's "Game of Thrones," now in its third season. The bar can't re-create the lush decor and rough terrains of Westeros, but it can create lush tasters of Ommegang's beer portfolio, which will be available in bottles. 608 SW 12th Ave., Fort Lauderdale; 954-358-8333 or Facebook.com/RiversideMarket.

Las Olas Food and Wine Festival: The street festival isn't till April 19, but starting April 14, you can enjoy discounted fare at restaurants and bars in the area. At the Las Olas Wine Cafe that day, a $20 wine card will afford you wine samples at the street fest. On April 16, Cheese Culture will offer wine pairings for 30 people for $50 each. The next day, Preston's at the Riverside Hotel will offer a pairing for $50. For festival information, call 954-727-0907 or go to LasOlasWFF.com.

Weston Town Center Crawl: The crawl here includes more than bars: Yes, JG McGuinness will participate, but so will Starbucks and the Cheese Course. And that makes sense, considering this crawl benefits 2-1-1 Broward, the crisis center and suicide-counseling hotline. Tickets cost $10 until April 10 and $20 after, and Rick Case Fiat cars will transport crawlers to and from some participating venues. Registration will take place at JG McGuinness, and the event will start at 5 p.m. 1744 Main St., Weston; 954-640-5822 or 211-Broward.org.

PALM BEACH

Tiki Bar Battle of the Bottles: On April 12 at the BeachHouse Hotel and Tiki Bar, sample 10 wines from three California vintners who name their products after baked goods: Cupcake Vineyards will be there, along with Layer Cake Wines and Cakebread Cellars. After the sampling, the hotel will offer guests plates from Bonefish Grill and baked desserts. For $20, you'll get a card good for 11 samples of wine, so you can have seconds of your favorite fruity fermentation. 82 Gleason St., Delray Beach; 866-372-7263 or CranesBeachHouse.com.

Oskar Blues beer dinner: Kapow! Noodle Bar will bring Colorado to Boca Raton April 16, with a beer dinner pairing Asian-fusion dishes and Oskar Blues brews. The five-course meal will include Korean pancakes with Dale's Pale Ale, sake-braised short rib with G'Knight Imperial Red and fried sweet-rice balls with Mama's Little Yella Pils. Tickets cost $37.92 at OskarBluesBeerDinner-EFBevent.EventBrite.com. 431 Plaza Real, Boca Raton; 561-347-7322 or Facebook.com/KapowNoodleBar.

Barleywine and Bleu Cheese: The Blind Monk will pull out its stinkiest cheese April 10, when five types of barleywine will be available for pairing with the moldy curd. One of the strongest styles of beer, barleywine pairs well with pungent cheeses. The beer's thick body blends with creamy or solid cheeses, which dial down some of its bitterness. 410 Evernia St., West Palm Beach; 561-833-3605 or TheBlindMonk.com.
