Dragon's Heart from Ron Abuelo
The rum brand celebrates the release of its 12-year anejo spirit by commissioning mixologists to create cocktails inspired by the year of the dragon, 2012's Chinese zodiac sign.
1 1/2 ounces of Ron Abuelo 12 AƱos 1/2 ounce of Domain de Canton 3/4 ounce of mezcal 3/4 ounce of Elderflower cordial 1 1/2 ounces of blood orange juice 3 lime wedges 5 drops of Angostura bitters Muddle lime wedges, elderflower cordial and 3 drops of bitters in a shaker. Add ice, rum, Domain de Canton, mezcal and blood orange juice. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with 2 drops of Angostura bitters and a blood orange slice.
