John Legend - April 22-23
The multiple Grammy winner returns to South Florida, one of his favorite touring haunts, following a
judging gig on the ABC reality singing competition "Duets." Legend's hits include "Ordinary People,"
"Used to Love U," "Heaven" and "Save Room."
The former child pianist prodigy played with Lauryn Hill,
Alicia Keys, Twista and Janet Jackson before he was 'discovered' and signed by Kanye West.
Legend has returned the favor by providing an opening act platform for such then-rising talent as
Robin Thicke, India.Arie and Corinne Bailey Rae.
This time around he's performing in an
intimate, acoustic setting highlighted by guitar, vocal accompaniment and a string quartet.

The Jacob Jeffries Band, Beach Day and Millionyoung have made it to one of the biggest annual music events this year: New York city's CMJ Music Marathon.
For five days, clubs in Brooklyn and Manhattan are taken over by musicians from across the country, while industry professionals attend sessions on how to succeed in the music business. The festival was started as a conference of sorts, for bookers to find new artists for the college demographic.
Tuesday, Oct. 16 is the first day of this year's Music Marathon, but our locals won't play a show until this weekend. Check out the schedule at CMJ.com.
