Free drinks and Bloc Party at Absolut X masquerade

British pop-rock band Bloc Party will perform in Miami this Thursday, May 16, during a free art event put on by Absolut Vodka. The party will be the second stop in the five-city Absolut X tour.

Absolut X is a series of events the liquor brand puts on to promote art, music and mixology. In Miami, local artist Agustina Woodgate will work on a contemporary art installation while the band plays tracks from its latest album, "Four."

Woodgate's work was described in a press release with extensive art-speak, so it's a toss-up what she will create. Whatever the project is, it will be donated for public display in Miami.

It's a masquerade ball lubricated with Absolut cocktails by mixologist John Lermayer from the Regent Cocktail Club at the Gale hotel in Miami Beach. Attendees will sip Lermayer's mixes and customize masks to get in the artsy spirit of the party.
