Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop: It's always a good idea to take public transportation after consuming a huge amount of alcohol, but here's another reason: the Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop, rolling its trolleys to Fort Lauderdale's throng of beach bars on Friday night. The trolley departs from Lauderdale Grill (1901 Cordova Road. Try the prime rib!) at 6 p.m. and drop-offs include Deano's Bar and Bistro, Lulu's Bait Shack, Sopranos Dueling Piano Bar, Bimini Boatyard, Tijuana Flats, Southport Raw Bar and Quarterdeck. $30 before noon Friday at, $35 (cash only) at the door. Troy Roberts: The Grammy-nominated saxophonist released his fifth album, "Nu-Jive 5," in April, a brassy concoction of neo-soul, R&B, electronica and gospel. The Australian Roberts, who has a master's in music from the University of Miami and teaches at the Frost School of Music, has won four Downbeat Jazz Awards. His performance with the jazz-funk ensemble Soul Understated will take place at 8 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, and the show will be broadcast live on radio partner WDNA 88.9 FM. Deerfield Beach Wine and Food Festival: The first of three festival events will start at 7:30 tonight at Quiet Waters Park, featuring wines from the Deerfield Ranch Winery and beers from Big Bear Brewing Company in Coral Springs. But the $58.75 price tag includes samples of varietals from various wine countries, food and craft beers. Saturday's grand tasting will go on from 6 to 10:30 p.m. ($88.75-$103.75).
