To do Tuesday: Kathleen Madigan, Shen Yun Performing Arts and Bauhaus' Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy: The Mr. Moonlight Tour nearly didn't happen after police say Murphy rammed his Subaru Forester into a Mercedes in broad daylight in suburban Los Angeles last month, prompting hit-and-run DUI charges. Yes, you read that right, the one-time leader of early-'80s art-punk trailblazers Bauhaus drives a Subaru. Murphy will reprise the band's hits, including "Bela Lugosi's Dead," "Stigmata Martyr" and "A Spy in the Cab," at 8 p.m. at Grand Central (697 N. Miami Ave., Miami). Tickets: $28, $60 VIP. 305-377-2277 or — Ben Crandell

Shen Yun Performing Arts: The cultural outfit's humble mission of resuscitating 5,000 years of classical Chinese civilization through dance is back in South Florida. If there's a history lesson to be gleaned about the ethnic and folk spirit of ancient China, it should be found here amid the New York-based company's outsize athleticism, dynamic battle-drumming, animated backdrops and ornate costuming. More than 100 dancers, vocalists and orchestra members will take to the Kravis Center stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. $50-$200. 561-832-7469 or — Phillip Valys

Kathleen Madigan: The comedienne and one-time finalist on NBC's sometimes-funny program "Last Comic Standing" is also one hell of a tweet machine, frequently punching out her musings from the one place a touring standup may call a home away from home: the airport. "Hssaws anyome seene my glAzSes. Fick," one tweet reads. "Distraught Tim Tebow released from Jets, vows to start worshipping Satan," goes another dispatch. Madigan is nothing if not easily bored, apparently, but that won't be the case when she performs 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hard Rock Live. $29-$49. 954-797-5531 or — Phillip Valys
