Debuting this year, X102's Local Love Show has already welcomed up-and-coming South Florida acts such as Unique, Dirtbag, Triple J and Suave Smooth. "We also have producers and DJs who are experienced in the business, so we can be informative and teach people about this business," host Dady Phatts says. "Our mission is both to promote and educate local artists." Because the show is on the air only from 10 p.m. to midnight Sundays, Phatts recently started continuing it in clubs -- currently Pure Nightclub in West Palm Beach -- so immediately after a broadcast, fans can see a featured local hip-hop or rap act. "This is just the beginning," Phatts says. "We've got so many good artists down here, and there's all kinds of ways we can help in the struggle.
