Primanti Bros.
901 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, 954/565-0605, www.primantibros.com

There may be two Primanti Bros. locations in Fort Lauderdale, but only the one by the beach is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Most late nights just call for a slice of pizza, which is fine in and of itself; this pizza is some of the best you'll find south of New York City. But if you missed dinner, you may want to try one of Primanti Bros.' famous sandwiches. Rather than serving the sandwich with fries and coleslaw on the side, Primanti Bros. slaps the two side items right on the sandwich itself. It sounds crazy, but the results are delicious. While Primanti Bros. is better-known in Pittsburgh, which boasts a dozen locations, it provides Fort Lauderdale's best late-night eats, an impressive feat in a town that doesn't really believe in sleep.
