If not for the five-sided mechanical Ski Rixen that pulls wakeboarders around a lake at Quiet Waters Park, it's likely that the members of Team Ski Rixen, which trains there, never would have gone to Australia, Austria, Germany, Hungary or perhaps even Canada. The only system of its kind in the United States has provided a boat-free proving ground for locals such as Chad Forrest, Rod Mapp, Alexander Peschl, Marc Schuster and Brad Federspiel, all of whom represented the United States at the 2005 World Games in Budapest, Hungary.
