It seems counterintuitive that the best place to swim in Broward County is way out west in the burbs, far from the ocean. But any such notion will be quickly disabused by a visit to this massive complex. Visitors can dive into 25- and 50-meter pools, or leap into a diving well with springboard and platform diving boards. The 5,000-square-foot fitness center hosts yoga and gymnastics classes, and the center boasts programs for seniors, kids and everyone in between. All the pools are equipped with a geothermal heating and cooling system, so don't just stand there, gingerly dipping your toes into the pool to test the temperature; climb the highest platform and throw yourself in!
