Art Basel will return to Miami Beach Dec. 1-4, meaning that just one week after the gluttony of Thanksgiving, the excess of nearly 200 galleries from five continents exhibiting more than 1,000 artists over five days will descend upon us. That doesn't even account for the galleries in the Miami Design District that will piggyback the event to showcase their own collections. This will be Art Basel's fourth year in Miami Beach, and in that time, it has established itself among the world's pre-eminent art events.
