 In the office of Yvonne Colón and Garo Gallo's home stands a large wooden sign that reads, "Angry Disillusioned Dreamers," with the first letters of each word highlighted in bright red. The oblique reference to attention deficit disorder coupled with the admission that the two are a pair of dreamers says much about them. Talk to either of the two, and their visions for the future are sky-high but also a bit manic, with goals and plans stretching out in every direction. As By the Way, they have already brought live-music showcases to a half-dozen venues across Fort Lauderdale and plan to continue venue-hopping. The list of bands that play regularly at By the Way shows reads like a who's-who of the local music scene: AC Cobra, Secret P.E. Club and ShuttleLounge, to name a few. If you've given up on local music, do yourself a favor and check out a show produced by this group. It will restore your faith.
