Nadia Turner

She may not be America's idol, but Miami resident Nadia Turner still wins City Link's vote. The former Coconut Grove bartender finished eighth out of more than 100,000 pop-star wannabes who auditioned for American Idol. She had a nice run on the hit Fox show, performing tunes such as "I'm the Only One" and "Time After Time." But she put the nail in her coffin with the sleepy Crystal Gayle tune "When I Dream." Turner isn't afraid to sport a gigantic Mohawk or retro Afro and hasn't given up on a career in music even though Simon Cowell told her to take her derrière home.
