 Sawgrass Mills is Florida's largest retail-and-entertainment center and the state's second-most-popular tourist destination, behind Disney World. We'd like to keep it that way. By visiting the Emerald City of shopping malls, tourists generate sales-tax revenues that might have gone elsewhere and, most of all, don't clog eastside roadways with tour buses and rental cars. Sawgrass Mills reports that between 30 and 40 percent of its shoppers are visiting from Latin America and spend about $1,000 per visit. To this we say bienvenidos and gracias.
