"This [painting] is in honor of PULSE, where 49 victims of a senseless tragedy took place," said Jennifer Maria who came to the event with Spoken Soul Festival. "I'm just doing this in honor of them and celebrating pride. We're here to say that even despite tragedy, continue to live. Life is really too short to stay in the closet, hidden, scared. We have to be ourselves, free, open and inclusive of the entire family."
