It's called the Big Chill Bar and although it's located in the laid-back Florida Keys, a couple of their customers apparently need to learn a thing or two about the art of chillin' out.
Deputies were called to Jimmy Johnson's Big Chill Bar in Key Largo late Thursday night after a fight broke out, according to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
A Key Largo couple, along with their 21-year-old daughter and her pal, had been eating a pizza at the bar when a couple from Miami walked up and tried to swipe some of the pizza from the box, the release stated.
This led to a clash -- especially after the Miami couple, George Joseph Burns, 44, and Midiala Siverio Dunn, 43 – began calling the two girls "fat," according to the Sheriff's Office.
Things deteriorated rapidly when Burns then allegedly struck both girls, knocking one to the ground, deputies reported.
After Burns and Dunn had reportedly left the bar, they were confronted in the parking lot by one of the girl's dad who decided to weigh in on the ugly scene. Both men then began fighting, according to the Sheiff's Office.
When a concerned woman in the parking lot approached Dunn, who was standing near the two fighting men, to tell her to move out of harm's way, Dunn allegedly punched her.
Several witnesses corroborated the story told by the Key Largo couple, deputies stated.
After Burns and Dunn were both treated for injuries at a hospital they were transported to the The Big Cooler for some serious chilling-out time.
Burns is charged with three counts of battery; Dunn is charged with one count of battery.
And that's why, readers, pizza delivery is so popular.Copyright © 2015, South Florida
