JetBlue Airways continues to spread its wings at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

On Monday, the New York-based value carrier announced plans to launch nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and Pittsburgh staring Oct. 29. 

The new Fort Lauderdale to Pittsburgh service is one of several upcoming routes announced for the Fort Lauderdale airport that will launch in 2014-15, JetBlue said.

From FLL, the flight will depart 6:55 p.m. to arrive in PIT at 9:31 p.m. Returning, the flight will leave PIT at 7:15 a.m. to arrival in FLL at 10 a.m.

JetBlue currently operates 26 nonstop routes out of the Fort Lauderdale with five more new routes already announced to begin in 2014/15. On May 1, JetBlue will add three new nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood to Montego Bay (Jamaica), Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). Next year, the airline also intends to launch a nonstop route to Albany, NY.

To celebrate the new FLL-PIT route, special fares from $79 one way are on sale for travel between Oct. 29 and Dec. 17, 2014 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Blackout dates apply for Nov. 20 to Dec. 1, 2014.

Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday April 15.
