Roger Wittenberns, founder of the Lady Fitness of America health club chain, has sold his Fort Lauderdale mansion for $6.5 million.
The four-story home at 10 Harborage Isle Drive has seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, an eight-car garage (with lifts), gymnasium, media room and 110 feet of dockage on the Intracoastal Waterway. The deed was filed Wednesday in Broward County. The buyer is Nadezda Bondarenko. Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate agent Tim Elmes represented the buyer and seller.
The house sold for $645 a square foot, the highest on Harborage Isle since 2007, according to Coldwell Banker. Wittenberns bought the home in 2002 for $6.25 million, property records show.
“This was more than just a home,” Wittenberns said in a statement. “It was also my corporate office, where I monitored health club franchises all over the world. I would use the media room for training video screenings and entertain potential franchisors on the back deck overlooking the beautiful Intracoastal. This was a home meant for entertaining.”
