The NFL on Wednesday released the 2014 preseason schedule, with the Miami Dolphins facing some familiar foes.

The Dolphins and Bucs will meet in the preseason for the 14th consecutive year and the 22nd time in 23 seasons. The Dolphins will look to avenge a 17-16 loss at Tampa on Aug. 24, 2013.

The Dolphins and Cowboys will meet for the fourth straight time in the preseason.

All games will be shown on WFOR-TV (CBS4).

Miami Dolphins 2014 preseason schedule (Exact dates and times, TBA)

Aug. 7-10: at Atlanta Falcons (Georgia Dome)

Aug. 14-18: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Raymond James Stadium)

Aug. 21-24: Dallas Cowboys (Sun Life Stadium)

Aug. 28: St. Louis Rams (Sun Life Stadium)

Other key dates for the Dolphins, heading into the regular season:

The draft is May 8-10.

Rookie mini-camp is May 23-25.

Players have their first OTA (Organized Team Activities) workouts, which are closed to the public, on May 27-28 and May 30. That’s followed by OTAs on June 2-3 and 5th, and June 9-12.

The three-day mini-camp, which is also closed to the public, is June 17-19.

The Dolphins haven’t yet announced training camp dates.

The Dolphins played five preseason games last year because they opened the season in the Hall of Fame game, in which they faced Dallas.

The Dolphins will play Oakland in London during the regular season this year.
