South Florida should enjoy an overall nice day with lots of sun and mild temperatures, although it's also windy with gusts up to 30 mph. Tonight should be cool if not chilly.

Officially, the forecast calls for sunny skies with afternoon highs in the low to mid 70s and overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s. Friday should be cool in the morning and mild in the afternoon.

Central Florida's forecast: Sunny and windy with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 40s.

Although we're still about two months away from the beginning of rainy season, it's the time of year when cold fronts tend to stall in our vicinity.

That could end up giving us a fair amount of rain over the next couple of weeks, as fronts barely pass to our south and provide no very dry air.

Although it is hard to predict when these fronts will occur, the first one is likely to happen this Monday with rain loitering around for most of next week.
