Last week was definitely damp, as West Palm Beach saw seven days of rain, Fort Lauderdale six.

That translated to a healthy 4 inches of rain in Fort Lauderdale, almost 1 inch in West Palm Beach. Miami was dryer with mostly light rain.

We are now about one month away from the average start of our rainy season on May 20. Last year the rainy season began on May 18, two days earlier than normal.
