Expect to see some sun but also some scattered showers and storms today and over the weekend.
You might also notice the temperatures are a degree or two cooler than they have been for the past week.
South Florida's Friday forecast calls for partly sunny skies with afternoon temperatures in the upper 80s and overnight readings in the upper 70s. There is a 20 percent chance of rain.
The rain chance increases to 30 to 40 percent on Saturday and Sunday.
Central Florida's Friday forecast: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 90s, lows in the mid 70s and a 40 percent chance of showers and storms. While the forecast is similar for Saturday, the chance of rain decreases on Sunday.

Sunday, Sept 8, is the 48th anniversary of the landfall of "Big Bad" Betsy, a major hurricane that struck Key Largo.One of its distinctions is that it was the first billion dollar hurricane in U.S. history (in 1965 dollars).
It was a Category 3 hurricane at landfall in Florida and was the last major hurricane to strike South Florida until Andrew 27 years later. That was the longest time period between South Florida major hurricanes in the last 100 years.
