Another winter storm is causing flight disruptions at South Florida airports.
As of 4:00 p.m. Monday Miami International Airport had experienced 22 cancelled flights and 10 delays, spokesman Marc Henderson said in a statement.
The cities affected include New York City (both airports), Newark, Toronto, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. (Reagan National).
Earlier in the day, flights at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport were also being impacted due to the storm system in the Northeast, spokesman Greg Meyer said in an email.
“We currently have 46 delays throughout the Northeast and 23 canceled flights to New York City, Philadelphia and Newark, New Jersey,” Meyer noted as of 10:30 a.m.
Several flights arriving and departing Palm Beach International Airport Monday were also affected based on status updates posted on its website.
Airport officials advise travelers to check with their respective airlines for the most recent flight status before heading out to the airport.
