International Mango Festival
July 12 and 13, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables. The 16th annual Mango Festival celebrates the mangoes of Africa. The mango is a staple of life in sub-Saharan Africa and will be on display at the festival. Sample juicy mangoes, vote for your favorite mangoes, purchase a tree to grow your own, or buy mangoes from the fruit market. Varieties from the Caribbean, Central America, Florida, India and Thailand also will be on display. Winter in July
July 12-13, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Palm Beach Zoo, 1301 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach. Bring your mittens and cool off with more than 40 tons of snow and children's activities. The day's events will include interactive games, educational arts and crafts, and the Banana Peel Circus where kids learn to juggle. Even the animals get in on the fun with animal enrichments from the zoo's inhabitants. Visit South Florida Parenting and make a fun craft. Sit back and relax in the Florida Pioneer House as you listen to arctic-themed stories, and meet the zoo's special guest, the Snow Queen. 561-547-9453.

Kids' Fitness Festival of the Palm Beaches
July 17 and 18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. Learn the basics of more than 40 sports from the area's leading instructors. Test your skills with slap-shot hockey and the obstacle course. Meet professional and college athletes from many different sports and get their autographs. Plus team mascots, arts and crafts, educational expo, food, interactive games and free samples. Sport clinics are for ages 5 to 13. Organizations will be offering hands-on exhibits, brochures and other resources that affect today's youth. Wear tennis shoes, shorts, shirt and sunscreen. Butterfly Days
July 26 and 27, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cultler Road, Coral Gables. Come and learn about all butterflies with kids' activities, walking tours and educational lectures. Take a butterfly tour through Fairchild with experts and learn to identify South Florida's butterfly species and their native host plants.
