Miami-Dade County
Siblings: We're Special, Too, Aug. 22. 7-9 p.m. Parent to

react differently to the special needs of their brothers or

End the Homework Hassles, Aug. 23. 7-9 p.m. Baptist
Children's Hospital Auditorium, 8900 N. Kendall Drive. This
community parenting program features psychologist Albert Zbik who
will offer advice about how to develop an effective routine and

Child Safety-Seat Checkups, Aug. 29, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Shops at
Skylake, 1610 NE Miami Gardens Drive. Certified technicians from
the Florida Highway Patrol will be onsite conducting inspections on

Broward Christian Home-schoolers Home-schooling Orientation,
Aug. 4, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Trinity Lutheran Church, 7150 Pines Blvd.,
Pembroke Pines. A day of encouragement, informative speakers, door
prizes and vendors for those new to home schooling, as well as

Pembroke Pines. A postnatal exercise class for mom and a
motor-skills-development class for baby. For moms and babies ages 6

Palm Beach County Home-schoolers' Meeting, Aug. 10. 10 a.m.
Seminole Palms Park, on Lamstein Way off Southern Boulevard, West
Palm Beach. An inclusive group with activities for all ages;
early-elementary group, preteen group and teen group activities.
August is the "Back to Home Schooling" kick-off meeting, which will
include a used-curriculum sale, information for new home-schoolers,
membership signups and information about activities for the year.
