Celebrate the Children Walkathon and Family Fun Day

Spencer Crawford Children's Foundation's Annual Walkathon and Family Fun Day
May 18, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. North Community Park, 5601 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs. The event will kick off with a butterfly release followed by a walk where walkers of all ages will follow a meandering course of approximately one mile. At several points throughout the walk the participants will be given fun physical or mental challenges to complete before continuing. There will also be a variety of activities for the children before and after the walk as well as a raffle for the adults. Fourth Annual David Posnack Hebrew Day School 5K Run & Daniels 1 Mile Fitness/Fun Walk May 4, 7:30 a.m. Markham park, 16001 W. Sate Road 84, Sunrise. The l Mile Fitness Walk is named in memory of Daniel Wultz, who had been a student at the David Posnack Hebrew Day School. Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics, The Daniel Cantor Wultz Scholarship Fund, which will help finance trips to Israel for David Posnack Hebrew Day School students, W.E.C.A.R.E. Relay for Life The American Cancer Society's event takes place throughout the country and urges fighting back against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.
