Back To School Splash 2008 August 2 & 3, 2008, at The Falls
Families and their children will enjoy the last splash of summer fun while shopping for back to school clothes at one of South Florida Parenting's premier malls--The Falls! Dozens of family friendly exhibitors will be present to provide information about after school programs, photography, college planning, insurance and healthcare. Baptist Children's Hospital will provide valuable information for parents and hands-on crown craft for the kids. Free outdoor activities will include paddle boats, the Sabertooth slide and an ocean bounce house provided by Mega Parties. New this year: motorized bumper boats and bumper cars! The Miami Dolphins will add to the excitement with visits from their mascot "TD" and cheerleader and alumni player autograph opportunities. Kids and dads can try their skillsat the quaterback toss, and the little ones will enjoy the Dolphins bouncehouse Take part in old favorites including Pirates Cove, hands-on crafts, face painting and lots of stage enterainment led by the master of "Fun-Ology", James Changefield. Sports activities, paddle boats, bounce houses and lots of other fun things to do will be situated in front of Chico's and Talbot's. Miami-Dade Public Schools' Parent Academy will sponsor the Treasure Hunt while providing valuable information for parents of school-aged children. Miami Children's Theater will provide free face painting, balloon art, stage entertainment and more. Parents can learn how to get their child involved in this exciting and educational program.
