Days after helping lead his team to a runner-up finish in the state playoffs, Miramar's Tracy Howard has earned a pair of individual honors. Howard, a cornerback, was named both a first-team SportsIllustrated.com All-American and a finalist for the U.S. Army All-American Defensive Player of the Year Award. Earlier this year, Howard was also named a finalist for the U.S. Army All-American Player of the Year. Howard, who is one of the nation's most coveted college prospects, finished the season with 10 interceptions. He is considering offers from a number of major college programs including Florida State, Alabama, LSU, USC and Florida. Joining Howard on SI.com's All-American team were Glades Day's Kelvin Taylor, Miramar's Marrell Jackson and Glades Central's William Likely. All were honorable mention selections. |
