'Baby Mama' delivers

What is the worst thing that anybody can do?

Could it be to steal $10,000 every month or pretend you're carrying someone else's baby for the monthly cash? The film Baby Mama deals with "baby-mama-drama" and the problems with surrogate mothers.

Kate Holbrook (Tina Fey) is the vice-president of a fancy organic food store that is trying to branch out. After being promoted year after year, the thought of a family grew further away. Holbrook is now 37-years-old and has tried every reproduction method except for surrogate pregnancy.

This is where the fun begins. After paying $100,000 to find a match, Holbrook meets Angie Ostrowiski (Amy Poehler) who lives with her dead-beat boyfriend, Carl (Dax Shepard). Carl and Angie decide to use the monthly surrogate money and lie about the pregnancy. While trying to keep the scandal quiet, Angie even goes to therapy sessions with Kate so they can spend more time together and stop fighting.

Baby Mama is a hilarious movie with a wholesome meaning behind it. As these two women comically struggle to get through this together, they learn and grow through this experience. Kate learns to open up and go "clubbin'," and finally opens up to her boyfriend Rob (Greg Kinnear).

Most of the comedy in this movie isn't for young children, but teens will love it. I personally loved this movie; it got you laughing unexpectedly and it had fresh comedy.

The same comedy Michael McCullers used in the Austin Powers movies is very evident in Baby Mama. Although this movie is good, and yes, the actors are funny and most of them are in Saturday Night Live, it didn't hit a home-run for me.

This movie could definitely be considered a chick flick but I suggest you rent this movie for all your friends; it's a good one.
