"The heat is on in Saigon!" Well, the heat certainly is on at Cypress Bay High School. As the first high school in the country to perform "Miss Saigon," the students at Cypress Bay took this challenge and ran with it, and the outcome was extraordinary. The production floored its audience with a night full of utterly astounding vocals, impressive costumes, and a riveting storyline.

A tale of abandoned love and sorrow, "Miss Saigon" is an ambitious undertaking for professional actors, let alone high-school students. Led by a number of standout performances and an enormous supporting ensemble, the students of Cypress Bay High School tackled the sprawling musical effectively.

There's a chill in the air outside, but "the heat is on in Saigon" as the curtain rises on Cypress Bay High School's production of "Miss Saigon." As one of the few high schools to have performed this thoughtful and emotional musical, Cypress Bay successfully met the challenge, producing a moving show that detailed the complexities of the Vietnam War.

"The heat is on in Saigon!" And indeed, Cypress Bay High School does a remarkable job in portraying that. The entire cast brought the heat on Thursday evening and put on a show to be remembered!
