Plantation's 'Spelling Bee'

'Putnam County Spelling Bee' is D-E-L-I-G-H-T-F-U-L
Watching a spelling bee might sound B-O-R-I-N-G, unless you live in Putnam County. The kooky cast of Plantation High School's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee kept the audience laughing in each contestant's endearing drive to win and achieve etymological glory.

Plantation High's production is unforgettable
As you enter the theater, you are immediately transported to a middle school gym that is filled with characters identifiable from anyone's youth. As the student-directed and conducted 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee begins at Plantation High School, audience members are transported back to their childhood in the mode of a comedic middle school spelling bee.

'Spelling Bee' has outstanding energy, admirable cast
Plantation High School's first student-directed production, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, contained unconventional personalities, outstanding energy, and an admirable cast.

Plantation's 'Spelling Bee' a light-hearted affair
Can you imagine standing on stage, in front of everybody in your county, and only being able to spell a word after involuntarily going into a trance? Or having to perform up to last year's expectations after being, um, distracted by the cute girl down front in the audience? The contestants in Putnam County's Spelling Bee sure can! A whimsical, light-hearted affair was to be enjoyed by all who attended Plantation High School's recent production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Plantation's 'Spelling Bee' captivates
Life is humor, life is improv, life is juice box after juice box, life is "Pandemonium." Plantation High School's beautiful rendition of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee illustrated the minds of six children competing at the most significant event that they have yet to encounter, and captivated the audience with the internal struggles that each speller faced.
