Dillard's Parson commits Girls Basketball Sun-Sentinel
What started out as a great month for the Dillard girls' basketball program just got better. Last weekend, Panther forward Candace Parson verbally committed to Tennessee Tech while on an official visit. She becomes the second Dillard player in less than a week to announce her college plans, joining Dawnn Maye, who committed to Georgia Tech. Parson, who is 6-foot-2 and averaged nine points and nine rebounds per game, also considered offers from Mississippi State and Providence. "I really liked the school, the coach, and the team was real nice," Parson said. "It felt like a family. It feels good to have this done. It's one big thing off my shoulders." |
