Celebrate High School Theater
The annual Cappies Awards Gala for excellence in high school theater will be at 7 p.m. May 19 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The show will feature excerpts from the plays and musicals nominated for best production. High school drama students from 27 schools have been nominated for awards in 27 categories. The event is Broward high schools' own version of the Tony Awards. People reported that during her visit to the U.S. Capitol, Jolie said she "felt kicking suddenly." Maybe the pregnancy rumors are true.

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz asked for her father's permission before popping the big question to singer/actress Ashlee Simpson, People.com reported. "[Pete] did ask," said Joe Simpson. "I told him that I would be honored to have him as part of my family." According to People.com, even big sister Jessica is thrilled about the recent engagement. "My sister is overflowing with joy," Jessica said. "Pete is an incredible soul. They naturally bring out the best in each other. I couldn't be happier." The couple announced their engagement publicly via friendsorenemies.com. "We are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged," the couple wrote. "Thank you for all of your support and well wishes—it means the world to us."
