Melissa Herman – The King and I
Opening to a vibrant backdrop and brilliant, realistic costumes, Pope John Paul II's March 30th rendition of The King and I dazzled audiences with vivacious acting and visuals that truly brought the show to life.

Anna Tenutta – The King and I
Truth is relative: an idea that resounded in Pope John Paul II High School's production of The King and I as Anna and the King of Siam's cultural clashes and considerations of ingrained beliefs were set to Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical.

Ara Parikh – The King and I
Humility, discipline, love, and humanity are all themes examined in Pope John Paul II High School's grandiose production of the iconic Broadway musical "The King and I."

Daniel Burns – The King and I
"When the music started, something drew me to your side" at Pope John Paul II High School's production of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, The King and I. An imaginative and eloquent collaboration of energetic characterization and a classic, graceful score, "The King and I" explores an Eastern land where even the most prosperous King has room to expand his knowledge of the world.

Breanne Palmer – The King and I
Carved idols, glittering dragons, palm trees, and smiling women in sweeping robes of silk. All these could be found in Pope John Paul II High School's production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, the traditional tale of customs lost in translation. Based on a novel by Margaret Landon, a fearless English governess named Anna travels to Bangkok at the request of the King of Siam, who desires to join the powerful nations of the world by adopting British customs. The two come into conflict at every turn, but soon learn from one another in ways they never thought imaginable.
