Following the best selling Millenium Trilogy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film is without a doubt the perfect adaptation of the book.

The storyline follows a troubled journalist, Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) who meets up with the unusual researcher Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) to catch a killer of women.

Director David Flincher gives the audience enough time to understand the complexities of each character while keeping the story moving. Although a bit lengthy at 2 hours and 35 minutes, the screenplay is close to the book with a few minor adjustments.

The movie does the books complete justice. Each monumental event in the book portrayed in the film.

This action packed thriller will keep viewers on their toes with constant excitement. There wasn't a dull moment throughout the entire film. Mara stole the show as the introverted, misunderstood, troubled researcher who works with Craig to solve the murder mystery; the duo have undeniable chemistry.

The movie is certainly R rated with three gruesome, vivid rape scenes and violence. Aside from the three scenes, lovers of Stieg Larsson's trilogy should not miss out on the American adaptation of the movie.

The ending of the film will leave moviegoers wanting the next installment of the series, The Girl who Played with Fire.
